The last few days of summer don’t have to pass by in a blur. Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa City, Laguna is just the right day trip for one last hurrah before school starts and the rains pour incessantly again.

Oliver’s Water Show of Switzerland

Oliver’s Water Show of Switzerland returns (until June 8) with a troop of talented divers performing outlandish aerial tricks. Highly trained acrobats jump down from a 25 meter platform into a small pool of water. Some of the other stunts include two divers jumping down together with their palms touching, but still hitting the water separately. Yet another performer dived down while on fire. There’s also a routine of clowns jumping down the platform and into the water below. Finally, the park will stage a Mother-Daughter Flores de Mayo this May 31.

Flores De Mayo

If you’ve always wanted to star in your own music video, head to the park’s newest attraction, Pop Noggins. It uses new green screen technology that superimposes a person's head onto dancing animated bodies. Just choose a song, lip-sync to it and dance your head to the music. Up to six people at a time can be in the screen, and you can immediately receive a copy of your performance on DVD.

Aside from the park’s numerous events, the park has also whipped up cool promos. Smart subscribers get a 20% discount off the Regular Day Passes (until June 8, 2008). They can also win Nokia mobile phones and MP3 players by simply presenting their active SMART SIM and downloading tunes, logos and picture messages. On the other hand, Pepsi drinkers get a chance to win regular day passes and a Sony Slim PSP every hour, everyday (until June 8, 2008). Students can also avail of the special summer rates (until June 7, 2008). Admission fee is only P270 on weekdays and P330 on weekends, plus students get a free glass of Lipton Red Tea.

The Cast of 'Enchanting Teens Musical'

Past events for the summer included exhibitions by the UP and the St. Scholastica’s College Pep Squads, storybook reading by Aria Clemente (World Champion of Performing Arts in Hollywood/Junior Division), and performances by SpongeCola, Rocksteddy and Bamboo. For teens, hot young idols Sam Concepcion, Cheska Ortega and PJ Valerio starred in the “Enchanting Teens Musical.” Sam, Cheska and PJ performed high-energy production numbers, swoon-worthy love songs, and interactive gimmicks. Sharing the stage with them were some original cast members of the Manila production of Disney’s “High School Musical On Stage.”

I'm looking for Enchanted Kingdom.
