This upcoming establishment opening soon at Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, will feature modern takes on Eastern Mediterranean food — think comfort food stuff like stuffed pita pockets, flavorful rice plates served with different kinds of meat, and hummus bowls.
For snacking, the Shawa Wama pop-up at The Mess Hall offers filling merienda fare like Stuffed Pita (P165) in beef, chicken, or red beet falafel. These pita pockets are generously stuffed with crispy slaw, fries, and you can always smother anything here with their signature sauces, which include Mild Green Finger Chili Sauce, Hot Red Birds Ey Chili Sauce, White Garlic Sauce, and Lemon Garlic Sauce. Mix and match to taste!
The main event of Shawa Wama are their hearty Specials that span from meat filled to veggie-driven offerings. The Wama Meat Special combines your meat of choice (Beef or Chicken/P275, Primo Beef/P340) with pita bread, hummus, and rice; while the Wama Veggie Special (P340) is a combination of pita bread, hummus, wama slaw and falafel.
