Set in 4 different eras in China, the 4-part anthology about ‘home and country’ is directed by Wu Jing, Zhang Zi Yi, Xu Zheng and Shen Teng, who also star in their own story. The movie depicts how the ‘fathers’ forge ahead through the struggle of times, defending strong family ties and passing on the ‘fighting’ spirit through generations.
