Avid automotive enthusiasts would drool at the sight of Harley Davidsons, BMWs and Ducatis parked around the perimeters while the real bikers deliberate on motorcycles and rides over succulent steaks and cold beer. Once you see a guy wearing a black, worn out leather vest with the unmistakably huge logo of a bulldog at the back, then the pack of enviable motorcycles are just within sight.
Handlebar is the only full-fledged sports bar for bikers and expats. People can play pool while watching sports channels, which are always projected on the screens and at their al fresco dining area outside. Local rock ‘n roll bands perform at the bar at certain days of the week. Birthday parties and corporate functions are also held at the bar regularly.
Handlebar prides itself on their steaks. Prepared western style, most customers enjoy the huge portions that other fine dining restaurants would offer at high prices. Customers can also grill their own steaks at the al fresco area, and help themselves to potatoes and other side dishes already prepared on the griller.
Nothing can beat the character that is only Handlebar’s: dim lights, excellent airconditioning, rock n’ roll music, masculine trimmings, tall and comfy drum stools and the manly crowd. The place is packed during rugby, cricket, and football games, especially during World Cup, where one can actually find citizens of each game every hour cheering for their home country. Handlebar also offers barbecues in the afternoons. And when night sets in, liquor levels turn up and the merrymaking in all accents begin.
